12 Hydroxy Stearic Acid (12 HSA)

Packaging: Bags

Storage: Store in dry and well-ventilated locations, at ambient temperature away from direct sunlight. (Note: Instructions applicable for both before & after opening).

Application: Grease. Personal care & cosmetics products, including skin care preparations, hair products and deodorizing products.

Production: 12-HSA is synthesized by oxidizing 2-hexylcyclododecanone with a mixture of permaleic and peracetic acids in methylene chloride. This forms the lactone of hydroxystearic acid, and alkaline hydrolysis of the lactone produces 12-HSA.
